OVERALL: The refurbished house is quite big, it has 12 rooms and 3 bathrooms of which people on the same floor generally share one (4 people per floor). We have a total of three kitchens, two small ones on the upper two floors and a big one by the spacey living room. Housemates are lovely company to hang out with in the shared spaces, including the garden :) I'm leaving my furniture behind during my year abroad, which include; - a bed frame - closet, shoe shelf, dresser & clothing rack - desk - couch - an extra fridge (there's fridges in the kitchens as well) - curtains The spaces are kept quite clean, the kitchen is extensively equipped with everything you need (microwave, coffee machine, kettle, rice cooker, etc.). Utensils are generally shared but no pressure to do so. In winter the living room has floor heating. LOCATION: The house is located at the edge of the city center in a chill street, two bus stations nearby (1min away and 5min walk away) and otherwise easy access to anywhere in the city by foot or bike. Two grocery stores (Rewe and Edeka) are just a 3-5min walk away, of which the Rewe is open until midnight. WG LIFE: The community is quite nice and open, lots of room for shared activities such as board game nights and cooking together, but no pressure to join in anything. The people who live here are: Angelo (23), studies American Studies and is Italian (doesn't speak german) Selma (19), studies Chemistry and loves reading, will lend you her books Miri (19), studies Psychology, puts on music in the evenings and sometimes bakes for everyone on sundays Nike (19), studies Psychology, very artistically talented and regularly tries out new recipes in the kitchen Floh (21), studies Psychology, loves cleaning and very talkative Thomas (24), studies Biochem, rather quiet and withdrawn Elias (21), studies Biology, pretty busy and out of the house a lot but enjoys partying Some new additions are about to move in!
