I’ll be doing an exchange semester abroad starting August 30th, which is why I’m subletting my room until December 15th. The room is sublet fully furnished and has high ceilings, which I personally really love about the apartment, as they make the room feel very open, bright and spacious. Because of the ceiling height, the large loft bed (around 2 m high) fits perfectly into the room and creates a lot of usable space underneath, making the layout both practical and cozy. Before leaving, I’ll take my personal belongings with me, but the room will stay furnished with a desk, shelves, chests of drawers, a couch and a TV, so you won’t need to bring your own furniture. The windows are well insulated, so you don’t really notice street noise, which means the room feels calm and pleasant, even though public transport and shops are close by. The apartment is well connected by public transport and easy to reach from different parts of the city. The U6 (Westphalweg) is about 8 minutes on foot and takes you directly to Berlin Mitte. From there, you can reach Tempelhof and the Ringbahn in about 5 minutes by U-Bahn, which makes getting around Berlin very convenient. There’s also a bus stop just 3 minutes away, on the same street as the apartment. The neighborhood itself has a lot to offer: There are restaurants and cafés nearby, as well as a nice park just 4 minutes away on foot, perfect for relaxing, going for a walk or doing some sport. For shopping, the Tempelhofer Hafen mall is just one U-Bahn stop away or about 20 minutes on foot, with plenty of shops, supermarkets and places to eat. You’d be sharing the flat with my roommate (26 years old, female). The WG life is very relaxed, respectful and uncomplicated. We both value privacy, cleanliness and clear communication, which makes living together simple. There’s a balcony connected to the kitchen, which is really nice for sitting outside, having breakfast or enjoying a coffee once the weather gets warmer. The sublet will be arranged with a formal sublease contract, so everything is clear, official and stress-free for both sides. Total rent: 655 € per month (all costs included)
